How our journey began
Oh how to start the explication of how we came to be.
Picture two health care providers, seeing endless women with bloating, distension and bowel movement struggles impacting their confidence and how they want to show up in the world.
These women had experienced years of bouncing from specialist, to nutritionist to social media experts and feeling like they’ve gotten no closer to being symptom free.
Those two health care providers realized a few things
The route to healing for these women would be far faster if they had not experienced years of conflicting information from multiple sources
There is actually an explanation for why they have to unbutton their pants at the end of the day, or struggle to pass a bowel movement … but somehow no one had taught them yet.
All these women had learned a lot of information, but not the skill they needed to implement to see true change happen.
Our solution was a retreat. An informal setting that fostered learning, connection and experience that could be translated back into their real lives. This weekend is not just about theory, its about skill building with trained professionals and a group of women who get you!!
Meet the Team
Paulina Wegrzyn
Physical Therapist, pelvic floor and breathwork specialist at Gut & Grace
Every action in our bodies has an equal and opposite reaction. At this retreat, it is my job to help you understand how different factors influence and interplay with each other. I’ll help you connect the dots between your posture, core strength, breathing patterns, and pelvic floor function—and how all of that can influence digestion and abdominal comfort. Through movement, body awareness, breathwork, vagus nerve stimulation, as well as simple strategies you can take home, you'll gain a whole new perspective on what might be driving your bloating, and how to feel more at ease in your body. Think science meets self-care, with a whole lot of "ohhh, that makes sense!" moments. Our retreat will help you understand your body better, as well as to embrace its imperfections as meaningful parts of who you are, and that we are all deserving of compassion, levity, and peace.
Dr. Rachel Fobert
Naturopathic Doctor, integrative and functional medicine specialist at Gut & Grace.
My role at this retreat is to make you feel inspired by what you have to offer yourself, and settled with who you are at this moment. Nothing is more powerful than a perspective shift. I am all about simplicity paired with individualized and integrative medicine. My style is to teach you how to block out the noise and prioritize how to use a few strategies - the right way - that are potent and powerful enough to move the needle on your personalized goals. I will never mistake simple for easy, I know you need a strategy to integrate my techniques into your life, and that is always my priority, and that is what this retreat is all about.
