How our journey began
Gut & Grace is our sanctuary – a refuge for women who think it shouldn't be this hard to feel a sense of peace in their gut and body. Over the years, our experiences as health care providers and our personal experiences have shown us how impactful gut issues are on women's confidence and love for their bodies. We’ve seen too many patients and friends who didn’t know who to trust, or where to find the truth when it came to getting better. From restricting foods to taking dozens of supplements to avoiding social events, we’ve seen and heard it all. We wanted more for our patients, and we want more for you. Inspired by these women showing up in our offices determined to feel better, we designed an experience that blocks out the noise and gives you answers that feel feasible, easy, and are backed by science.
We want you to walk away from this experience feeling like your journey to better digestive health feels clear. Your body does not work in isolation– we will teach you how your body image, nutrition, lifestyle, breath, nervous system, and pelvic floor are intertwined to support or hinder your digestive system.
Meet the Team
Paulina Wegrzyn
Physical Therapist, pelvic floor and breathwork specialist at Gut & Grace
Every action in our bodies has an equal and opposite reaction. At this retreat, it is my job to help you understand how different factors influence and interplay with each other. I’ll help you connect the dots between your posture, core strength, breathing patterns, and pelvic floor function—and how all of that can influence digestion and abdominal comfort. Through movement, body awareness, breathwork, vagus nerve stimulation, as well as simple strategies you can take home, you'll gain a whole new perspective on what might be driving your bloating, and how to feel more at ease in your body. Think science meets self-care, with a whole lot of "ohhh, that makes sense!" moments. Our retreat will help you understand your body better, as well as to embrace its imperfections as meaningful parts of who you are, and that we are all deserving of compassion, levity, and peace.
Dr. Rachel Fobert
Naturopathic Doctor, integrative and functional medicine specialist at Gut & Grace.
My role at this retreat is to make you feel inspired by what you have to offer yourself, and settled with who you are at this moment. Nothing is more powerful than a perspective shift. I am all about simplicity paired with individualized and integrative medicine. My style is to teach you how to block out the noise and prioritize how to use a few strategies - the right way - that are potent and powerful enough to move the needle on your personalized goals. I will never mistake simple for easy, I know you need a strategy to integrate my techniques into your life, and that is always my priority, and that is what this retreat is all about.
